Downer is a novel "short contact" circulating fluidized reactor that attracts many researchers in recent years. In this paper, a two-dimensional model for FCC process in downer reactor is proposed on the basis of hydrodynamics of downer, 11-lumps kinetics of oil catalytic cracking and two-dimensional dispersion model, and calculated with orthogonal collocation mekthod. The profiles of the products in the downer reactor are figured. THe effect of gas radial dispersion is investigated, which plays an important role in downer reactor. Since the feed is lumped according to its chemical composition, the performance of different feeds is also discussed according to the simulation results.
