On basis of the Space-Charge (SC) model and the Teorell-Meyer-Sievers (TMS) model, the streaming potential of charged porous membranes was numerically calculated and demonstrated as a function of the two dimensionless parameters: the ratio of the volume charge density to the salt concentration, and the dimensionless potnetial gradient in the pore wall. The results obtained from the two mdoels were also compared with each other. The TMS model doesn't coincide with the SC model even if the dimensionless potential gradient in the pore wall less than 0.05.
