Gasoline Desulfurization Chemistry: the Isal Process

The movement to reduce sulfur content in transportation fuels has become worldwide. The sulfur reductions eventually will encompass gasoline, diesel and kerosene fuels. This movement is being driven to a significant extent by legislation, as exemplified recently in the United States and Europe. Refiners need new catalytic process technology to help achieve these new product specifications while meeting the increased world demand for transportation fuels.
