Glyoxylic and oxalic acid, lactic and acetic acid, propionic and acetic acid were used as two-component carboxylic acid system. Amine and organophosphorus compounds were used as the complexing agent. The extraction behavior in two-component solute system was studied. The mathematics models wer eset up to describ e the extractin equilibrium assuming extractive reaction in the organic phase. results showed that the distribuftion coefficient (D) of stronger acid was large rfor tri-octyl amine (TOA), while the D of weaker acid was larger for Adogen 283. The larger selectivity was obtianed for organophosphorus compounds in the system of carboxylic acids with closed pK_a. Some rules were discussed for two-component acid systems.
