Study on the Rough Fuzzy Set and the Fuzzy Rough Set

Rough set theory is a relatively new mathematical approach for dealing with vagueness and uncertainty that arise from inexact, noisy, and incomplete information. In this paper, the concept of the rapidly developing rough set theory is introduced. The difference between the rough set theory and the fuzzy set theory is concluded, and the notions of the rough fuzzy set and the fuzzy rough set which are proposed by combining the fuzzy set theory and the rough set theory are described. Some developed relative functions and evaluation functions are presented, and the result is satisfied. It also points out that the rough fuzzy set and the fuzzy rough set need extensive research.
