Enrichment of Methanosarcina and Selection of Entrapment Media

摘要

Enrichment of Methanosarcina was obtained by Hungate anaerobic technique and using methanol as the sole carbon source. The enumeration of Methanosarcina was conducted by direct enumeration and MPN methods. Immobilized Methanosarcina was accomplished and the characteristics of immobilized beads and methane producing were demonstrated. The results indicated that AM4 was the best entrapment media for Methanosarcina immobilization.
