摘要

Electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) is a current device for high technique electronics. Its electrode consists of active carbon disk form. Sufficient surface area and mechanical strength are required at the same time. The strength is expected to develop through the binder of active carbon grain with plastic derived carbon. In the present paper, coconut shell based active carbon (YAC) was examined as a component of electrode disk through moulding, curing, and carbonization. Roles of active carbons to develop the strength are most concerned in this study.
