This paper deals with the numerical simulation of a shear wall under seismic loads. The considered seismic accelerations have such a level to produce the collapse of the structure. This activity was performed in the frame of the International Standard Problem (ISP) proposed by Nuclear Power Engineering Corporation (NUPEC) and sponsored by OECD/NEA/CSNI. Five artificial acceleration histories of increasing level (called sequentially run 1 to run 5) have been used by NUPEC to test two samples having a 'H' shaped cross section from the elastic range to the ultimate state.
