A numerical simulation of impact tests of the soil-structure system of the reactor building of Atucha II NPP is presented here (Part II) following a common strategy with Part I of the companion paper. The purpose of the numerical simulations performed is twofold: i) To provide additional insight into the influence of various approximations involved in the numerical analysis of the dynamic response of the soil-structure system subjected to travelling waves, and ii) To assess earlier interpretations of the same tests and to arrive at conclusive values of the dynamic parameters (stiffness, frequency and damping) of the soil-structure system.
