Managing a safe and efficient Startup for the Genesis Project

The Genesis Development Porject was Chevron's first deepwater project and the world's first Drilling & Production SPAR. With very little precedence to guide the efforts of Genesis, new processes were continuously being developed to provide road maps for the unique challenges the porject team faced. One of those unique challenges was managing facility hook-up commissioning, and startup activities during the offshore phase of the project. Successful execution of these activities during the last stage of the orject had a wide range of cost and schedule ramifications on the completion of the project.
