Cutting forces analysis when drilling glass fibre reinforced plastics

The paper describes the measuring and evaluating of torque and cutting force components (in axial and tangential directions) with four components piezoelectric dynamometer KISTLER 9272,when drilling a glass fibre reinforced plastic and carbon prrepreg.A.special PC-software and statistical assessment are used for evaluation of torque and forces with respect to an influence of machined material,orientation of the reinforcing fibres,cutting conditions and drill material,geomertry and wear.
