Semi-active mass damper for vibration control of long-span slabs using electro-rheological fluid

In the stuctrue with long-span slabs or in near transportation facilities,the reduction of hte vertical vibration is an important for a view point of habitability,comfortableness or usability.In former case,it will be an efficient method to place a mass damper system on the slab or the floor for attenuating of the vibration.However,the discrepancy of each natural frequency is a problem in a TMD.
