A based-fuzzy dead-time compensative PS adaptive control scheme is presented for the dead-time process regulation. It does not need the model of the controlled process, so that it can make up the weakness of the conventional Smith predictor. The latter is rather sensitive to the model error. As the same time, no identification, no mathematical model of the controlled system and no special test signals are needed. The simulation study shows the algorithm proposed in this paper is valid regardless of the disturbance and the plant model. And it has been applied for the ore feed control in a gold mine successfully.
