摘要

Short pulse X-rays were generated on backward Thomson scattering of Ti:Sapphire laser by 20 MeV sub-picosecond electron beams. A photocathode RF-gun was installed as a high quality electron beam source. The electron beam from the RF-gun was compressed to 450 fs from 7.5 ps by a bunch compression chicane. Sub-picosecond X-rays were generated by the compressed electron beams. It is able to measure the electron beam size by using short pulse laser.
