Investigations towards the realization of an innershell x-ray laser in Na

摘要

A planned experiment towards the realization of an innershell soft-x-ray laser in Na~+ at 37.2 nm is described. For the innershell photoionization of Na atoms "optical pumping" with a Neon-like Zn-x-ray laser at 21.2 nm will be used. It is expected that this demonstration experiment will provide data for a future incoherent pumping of this and other innershell x-ray lasers.
