On problem of transportation operations control in automated assembly lines

An approach of analysis of transportation algorithms for automated assembly lines is studied. General properties of designed algorithms are defined. These properties must be satisfy by a good algorithm. The models based on Petri nets are proposed. The correspondence between defined properties of control algorithms and known properties of different Petri nets models is explicated. A method of multi-steps analysis is proposed. It is based on analysis of obtained Petri nets models taking into account their temporized and stochastic extensions. This approach allows both verification and performance evaluation of designed algorithms. An aplication example is given.
