Guidelines to conduct a wind damage investigation of manufactured housing

The highly destructive effects of wind on manufactured homes has acted as a mandate for change in the Federal Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standard (FMHCSS). Since June 15, 1976, manufactured homes were required to be built in accordance with the FMHCSS as administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (DHUD). Now, there are proposals to further adjust and raise this standard.
