摘要

Disturbed mass transport between fllwing blood and the artery wall has been hypothesized to promote initiation of atherosclerotic lesions and other arterial pathology. For example, there is indirect evidence that abnormal patterns of arterial wall oxygen tension may promote atherogenesis (e.g.Crawford and Blankenhorn, 1991). The objective of this work was to study hemodynamic effects on mass transport from flowing blood to the artery wall in an anatomically realistic arterial model. For thiscoronar artery (RCA)
