Ultrafiltration, An Emerging Technology for the Treatment of White Water Effluent From a Nonintegrated fine Paper Mill

Plot trials using several ultrafiltration membrane configuration were conducted to explore and demonstrate the effectiveness of membrane technology as a viable means to treat white water effluent for recovery and in-process recycel. Foolwing these trials it was found that tubular ultrafiltration technology successfully achieved the plant objectives for membrane performance, color reduction, and complete white water recovery and recycle.
