Image-processing software specially developed to teach basic principles in graphics in liberal arts classes

These days many students even at a college of liberal arts casually handle image files ont he computer.However,since there is no commercial software by which students can learn such principles while making and processing images at th same time,Nagashima developed an application by which even non-science students cna learn the principles of how an image file is created and how it is processed.This newly-developed application works on the Windows personal computers,and image files created by it can be transferred from the WWW browser to a server where they are automatically registered in a data archive.A CGI program was also developed to arrange the data thus sent,for the teacher to easily retrieve and check.
