Prediction equations for NOM rejection were formulated using influential parameters,including SUVA and f/k ratio,which have been found to be influential in the aspects of NOMrejection and operating conditions,respectively. Attempts were made to formulate correlationrelationships between an adsorption resistance (Ra) and an interfacial membrane concentration(Cm),and between an adsorbed NOM amount (mg C/cm2) and an adsorption resistance (Ra).Flux decline was also simulated in two ways; 1) by an empirical flux-decline equationwith three flux-decline coefficients,and 2) by an adsorption flux-decline model with two NOMadsorption terms between bulk NOM and the membrane surface,as well as bulk NOM and anexisting NOM adsorption layer.
