Air humidity management in vehicles

The BEHR air humidity management allows the passenger to vary the humidity in the car within certain limits. It employs an externally-controlled compressor for the evaporator temperature control which is complemented with the automatic operation in recirculation or outside air mode using an air humidity sensor in the passenger cabin in addition to air quality sensors.The combination of the two systems avoids window mist-up by employing reheat operation and/or adapted outside air proportion. The result is better heating-up and cooling down of the passenger cabin at the minimum of the fuel consumption and at maximum passenger comfort.
