摘要

A method, based on the solubility product concept, is proposed in order to calculate phase diagram equilibria in hypo-eutectic and hypo-peritectic aluminum alloys. This method requires less adjustable parameters than common thermodynamics software and allows a faster assessment of multicomponent alloys. The accuracy of the approach is demonstrated by several examples. Moreover, a long-range diffusion routine has been developed and coupled with the equilibrium routine. Several applications are presented: quantification of back-diffusion during solidification, dissolution kinetics of eutectic intermetallic compounds and microstructural evolution during a brazing treatment.
