Using radar to track down a woolly mammoth

摘要

Ground Penetrating Radar survey techniques are being used to help a scientific expedition search for Woolly Mammoths in Siberia. The aim of the project, organised by a joint Japanese/Russian research team, is to locate frozen remains - ideally whole specimens - for biotechnology investigation and experiment, especially in the field of animal reproduction.
