Real-Time Implementation of ITU G.723.1 Dual Rate Speech Coder on a TI TMS320C54x Chip

摘要

This paper relates to the issues associated with the real-time implementation of G.723.1 and Annex A dual-rate speech codec on a TMS320C54x chip. It briefly discusses the salient features of the G.723 speech codec and the procedure involved in converting the ITU fixed-point ANSI C model into TMS320C54x code. Various real time implementation issues such as memory /MIPS tradeoffs are also discussed.
