Experimental and analytical studies on the hysteretic behavior of high strength RC columns

A large number of data from tests of normal and high strength RC columns, carriedout by the writers and other authors, was collectively analyzed. The experimental results provideduseful data to calibrate an analytical model, capable of reproducing the hysteretic behavior of highstrength RC frame columns. The model was then used to study the displacement response of singledegree of freedom structures to earthquake excitations.
