The SPACES bridge system consists of a tubular steel space frame acting compositely with a concrete roadway slab enclosed by a shell i nadvanced Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) material. The structural characterisation of the System is presented with particular reference to composite behaviour and associated stiffness and strength characteristics.
