A permaculture model residence

摘要

This paper examines the design and construction of a single family residence built for John and Fran Martin on 20.5 acres outside of Santa Fe,New Mexico.It was designed and built by Living Structures Cooperative,Inc.,a company that is based on and which works with Permaculture ethics and principles,The site assessment is outlined and various systems within the project are presented; including the strawbale house design,passive and active solar; a PV grid intertie; a wind generator; rainwater catchment and storage; wastewater reuse; and the landscaping.The impact of the project in energy use and CO~2 reduction is analyzed.
