Fiber Optic Raman Spectrometry (FORS) was used to monitor resin cure inside an autoclave during processing. Spectra from the cure are used to calculate a degree of cure (REI) of the resin using peak ratioing. This degree of cure (REI) is compared to a degree of cure calcualted from the time-temperature history of the resin. The temeprature based degree of cure is determined by Differential Scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements made on resin from the same material batch.
