摘要

The sentence " Airplanes do not flap their wings for flying, as birds do " is misleading for many reasons.First, the verb 'to fly' has not the same signification in both cases, since an airplane must cary tons of weight and a light bird must be sensitive to air movements for both its pray catching, and its predator escaping tasks. It is notworthy that the first airplanes were too dangerous due to the metal cables that rigidified the airplane cell. Accidents resulted from this rigidity.
