摘要

The paper deals with the development of a new type of nozzle mixing burner.In contrast to common practice,experimental invesitgations were replaced by numerical simulations in the main part of the project.For the numerical investigations,a ocmmercially available CFD code was used capable of simulating flows includingchemcial reactions.In the delta burner,the mixing of fuel and air is controlled by triangular wings.The wings are known to enhance mixing by generating pronounced longitudinal vortices.the properties of the vortices depend on the geometry of the wings.The parameters governing the shape of the wings were changed systmsatically to find an optimal burner geometry.Additionally,the performance of the burner was investigated with respect to a variation in power.The general properties of the new burner will be discussed and informaiton will be given on how the process of ocmbustion changes due to modificaiton of geometrical parameters.
