In light of the need for energy consrvation and global environment preservation,it is essential to improve the thermal efficiency of household ga hot-water supply systems,systems,which consume energy in great quantity.There are two methods of improving thermal efficiency: one is to recover latent heat: the other is to recover snesible heat until immediately before the level at which drain is generated.We here report on the gas water heater recovering sensible heat to the limit.We developed analytical software to simulate the heat exchanger fin section temperature distributions; based on calcuation results,we designed a heat exchanger.As a resutl,we have succeeded in improving htermal efficiency from approximately 78
