Economics of downhole oil-water separation: a case history and implications for the north sea

This paper outlines the factors that make up the economic decision whether to install such a system and, using a low risk case hisotyr, demsonstrates the favorable economics of installing a separator system in a given applications. Using the low risk example, it is shown how the ideas can be extrapolated to a typical North sea well where, although higher risk, the otential reward is also far higher.
