Wear of conveyor belts can depend on operational parameters like: type of conveyor, their construction, type of loading, kind of transported materials or physical factors: rheological properties, fatigue strength and other. Operational parameters have rather random influence on change of durability of the conveyor belt. But strong influence for the change of rheological features, like: stiffness (elasticity) and dumping has the period of the belt operation. We often observe that conveyor belts, especially fire resistant, after a short operation period are stiffy, hard and brittle. In the article there are presented the results of laboratory researches over influence of operation time of fire resistant conveyor belts, on chloroprene component base (type GTP), that are operating in underground mines, on their durability. There are shown theoretical dependances, generalizing laboratory researches over change of stiffness and dumping of conveyor belts, depending of their time of operation.
