Curriculum Materials in Support of Coastal Zone Management(CZM)-Integrating Canadian Radarsat Technology

The curriculum material provides a state-of-the-art review, analysis and assessment of coastal zone management(CZM) and application of Canadian RADARSAT remote sensing technology in Asia. It reinforces background theory on high-resolution radar imagery by the introduction of real world CZM case scenarios involving RADARSAT, field work, and workshop exercises. The curriculum material is aimed at planners, resource managers, environmental scientists from government offices, state enterprises, private companies, NGOs and other practitioners involved in coastal zone management, environmental monitoring, natural resource analysis, and coastal surveillance. A major learing objective is to evaluate and access the opportunities of this new technology, its financial impact, as well as technical and human resource requirements.
