CO2 rangefinder and velocimeter system

Abstract: This paper presents a CO$-2$/ laser system designed to measure the range and velocity of solid targets. The velocity is measured by investigating the Doppler effect. For such kind of measurements of 'chirp' technique was adopted. In order to increase the sensitivity the heterodyne technique was used. !5
