As part of the International Energy Agency Hydrogen Implementing Agreement, an international team is pursuing an integrated systems task. The goal of this task is to develop a tool that will aid in the development of optimized hydrogen demonstration and commercialization systems. In order to accomplish this, data obtained from existing component demonstration projects previously or currently being carried out somewhere in the world are used to construct models for thse components. The models, addressing hydrogen production, sorage, transport, and utilization processes, are constructed such that users can design their own component demonstration, or use several models to design an integrated hydrogen pathway. Commercially available software, ASPEN Plus,~( direct R), is used to develop the models.
