Staudinger power plant is the southernmost station of PreussenElektra lying some 30 km east of frankfurt. At a rated capacity of approximately 2,000 MW it is the largest power plant of PresussenElektra. It consists of 4 hard coal-fired units (2 slag taps with cyclone combustor, a slag tap with U-shaped firing system, and a dry bottom boiler) as well as a gas-fired unit.
