Determining the uncertainty of measured calculated performance parameters is required in all Performance Test Cides of the ASME. This determination begins with the equations defining the performance parameters of the equipment or system - input, useful output, and effectiveness (an input/output ratio). The variables in these equations are: plant operating conditions measured throughout a test; corrections that compensate for deviations of other significant measured plant and ambient operating conditions from their values specified for the test.
