摘要

To make the mechanism of tunnel face failure clear and establish the evaluation method of the face stability in sandy ground, the centrifugal mdoel test was performed. Also the face stability was analyzed on the 3-dimensional limit equilibrium method, and the result was compared with the experimental one. The relation between face stability and overburden was showed through the result of test and analysis, and the way of evaluating the face stability using the strength parameters of ground and tunnel diameter was proposed.
