Uniformity of monochromatic oblique waves in a wave basin is investigated.Anew mehtod,using non-linear least square formultion,to determine individual wave paddle motions of multi-directional waemaker to improve uniformiyt,is proposed.The possibilities and limitations of the mehtod are discussed.Trial ocmputations and comparisons with experiments demonstrate athe vaalidity and usefulness of the method.
