Long lengths of multifilament Ag-sheathed Bi-2223 tapes were fabricated by powder- in-tube technique. Critical current density (J_c) up to 2.0x 10~4A/cm~2 at 77K, 0 T had been achieved in short conductors. Long tapes were cut into lengths up to 10 m long and wound into pan-cake-shaped coils by the wind and react approach. Test magnets is consisted of five double pan-cake coils stacked in series to give overall dimensions of 85 mm out diameter, 60 mm height and 10 mm clear bore. At 77K and 4.2K, the generated field of this magnet was 0.13T and 1.04T, with Ic of 17A and 135A (criterion 1 mu V/cm).
