Respecting technical and non-technical aspects in feasibility studies of industrial process automation

This paper intends to illustrate the importance of technical and non-technical aspects while introducing process automation or reengineering by means of control technology concepts into industrial enterprises. In this particular case, the emphasis is on how these aspects can be included in a feasibility study. The paper concerns the necessary background to the approach, highlighting the importance of communication between the teams involved, accompanied by a short example at the end.
