摘要

Neutron and gamma-ray production double differential cross sections were measured for iron by the use of 1.5 GeV pi~+ mesons. The measured cross sections were compared with the calculated values by HETC-KFA2. For the neutrons, the calculated resutls deviate from the experimental data in the neutron energy region below 30 MeV. The calculated values of gamma-ray production agree with the experimental data at gamma-ray energies from 1 to 7 MeV within a factor of three.
