By making use of double fission chamber and lead slowing spectrometer coupled to an electron linear accelerator, fission cross section for the ~242mAm(n,f) reaction has been measured relative to that for the ~235U(n,f) reaction in the energy range form 0.1 eV to 10 keV. The measured result was compared with the evaluated nuclear data appeared in ENDF/B-VI and JENDL-3.2, of which evalauted data were broadened by the energy resolution function of the spectrometer. Although the JENDL-3.2 data seem to be a little smaller than the present measurement, good agreement can be seen in the general shape and the absolute values.
