The present work, explains a general method for dynamic analysis of offshore structures interconnected by hinge mechanism. Theory presented has the versatility to model and analyse offshore structural systems comprising of flexible and rigid elements. Based on the theory, a computer code is developed which is employed to study the dynamic behaviour of a floating vessel moored to an articulated tower under the excitation of regular wave. The computer code is validated by comparing the numerical and experimental results. RAO of the tower and vessel are presented and their variation with exciting wave frequency is critically examined and discussed. Furthermore, forces developed at the hinge connections are investigated.
