Frequency response characteristic study for comEd and the eastern interconnection

The power system frequency response characteristic (FRC) is the change in real power in response to a change in system frequency. FRC is important for Automatic Generation loss of load or generation contingencies. In general, after a loss of load or generation, the remaining load and generation levels change as a function of the system frequency.
