An innovative whole tire energy recovery process

Scrap tire disposal presents a significant solid waste management problem in the United States. Improper disposal of scrap tires poses environmental and human health hazards. Several scrap tire disposal, recycling, or reuse methods have been developed, However, existing disposal methodologies do not provide the capacity to efficiently and reliably process the present scrap tire stream and existing stockpiles. As a result scrap tires continue to accumulate in the United States.
