Scaling in nuclear system thermal hydraulics: a way to utilise the available database

The present paper deals with the application of the UMAE (Uncertainty Methodology based upon Accuracy Extrapolation), developed at the University of Pisa, to the "qualification" exercise UMS (Uncertainty Method Study) proposed by OECD/CSNI (OECD Commuittee on the Safety on Nuclear Installations).
