摘要
A thermonuclear pump is intended for pumping high voltage converters or fusion tokamaks to a positive energy balance and for pumping autogen gas lasers to 109-1011 Joule output with a hot plasma. These processes are intended to follow successful Alamos microfusion produced by 2-beam CO2 lasers. Either (a) the bond heat output of the microfusion is used to detonate a comparatively larger 'mini fusion' dose surrounding the microfusion hearth, the bond energy consequently released being employed to amplify the primary fusion effect; or (b) the neutron avalanche produced by the microfusion is used to detonate a sub-critical minimass of fissile material surrounding the microfusion hearth, so that the fission prod. heat release amplifies the primary fusion effect. The process is based upon the detonation of a sub-critical mass of fissile material using an excessively large number of neutrons, as in the Los Alamos fusion test.
